The answer is easy … a franchise allows you to “be your own boss” but provides you a trademarked brand, all the support you will need, and a proven way of conducting the business.
In addition, a franchise minimizes your risk and increases your chances of success. A Franchise is four times more likely to succeed than an individual opening the same type of business. You can learn from others’ previous experiences. A good franchise system teaches you what to do, how to do it, and how to properly budget it.
According to the U.S. Department of Commerce, franchising is the safest way to open a new business. Franchising has been around for over a hundred years and has been closely regulated by the Federal Trade Commission since 1979.
Prospective franchisees must meet EQ Kids Club’s minimum financial requirements and be able to fund their investment in the franchise location, including working capital and their personal living expenses during the start-up period.  These costs will vary based on the size, the playground theme you choose, and the location of your EQ Kids Club.
Our Franchise Disclosure Document provides a detailed estimate of the initial investment for an EQ Kids Club. We estimate that amount will range from $225,934 to $299,917.
All prospective franchisees, including formal partnerships, must have a minimum of $75,000 in liquid capital available to invest. Typical financing through traditional lenders requires a minimum 20%-30% owner contribution into the overall investment. In addition, prospective franchisees should have a minimum net worth of $200,000.
Although EQ Kids Club does not offer financing, either direct or indirect, we may be of assistance in securing an SBA-guaranteed loan, or other financing arrangements through a local lender.
We offer you a business plan template that will help you prepare your request for financing and provide all statistical data available under the terms of Federal Trade Commission regulations governing franchise offers.
There are two parts to the answer to this question. First, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) prohibits all franchisors from sharing financial data that could be used to project income and profitability. We may only provide the information you can find in our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD). We may provide you with a copy as we move through the franchise qualification process.
Second, even if we could share more details, your results might vary.  Earnings are impossible to predict; there are too many variables. The primary variable is how you choose to run your business. However, we can say that following the policies and processes included in our franchise System has enabled EQ Kids Club to meet our financial objectives
That’s not a problem. Our ongoing training program is dedicated to educating new franchisees on launching their EQ Kids Club successfully and maintaining them efficiently. See below for more specific information on our comprehensive training program.
EQ Kids Club training never ends. As you embark upon your relationship with us, you'll experience a comprehensive training program like no other in our industry.
Immediately upon executing your Franchise Agreement, we will schedule a 2-day meeting at our Franchise Support Center in Frisco, TX to discuss our next steps and review our New Club Opening Guide. It lays out in a step by step manner exactly how your new EQ Kids Club is to be prepared for opening.
Prior to opening your new EQ Kids Club, you will attend a 2-week intensive, hands-on training session at the EQ Kids Club’s Franchise Support Center. We will cover everything you need to know including staffing and training, customer service, facility maintenance, office administration, sales and marketing, and community relations. In addition, our constantly-updated Manuals will give you the latest in tools and knowledge you will need to operate your new EQ Kids Club.
The Franchise Support Center conducts an open forum every week to discuss improvements to the system as well as best practices that can be shared by all EQ Kids Club locations.
Our initial focus is on developing key markets in North Texas. Currently, we are planning to expand into communities in Collin, Denton, Dallas and Tarrant Counties.
No. Our two business models lets you choose. With the first, you can open an EQ Kids Club location near your home and take an active role as an owner/operator of their EQ Kids Club. Or, if you prefer, the second model lets you choose a location anywhere in the development area. We will provide intensive training for your employees that will enable them to run your business for you, no matter how far from your home it may be.
From the date you sign a franchise agreement, the average amount of time until opening your Kids Club is 60 to 120 days on a new location.
Being a part of the EQ Kids Club franchise system will offer you more opportunities to grow. In prime markets, developing multiple locations allows the franchisee to maximize his revenues by leveraging his visibility and financial investment. Our focus is on encouraging multi-unit ownership.
